Licorice, cravings and menstrual cycle
Our licorice balls contain high quality fats from nuts, seeds, cocoa and coconut oil + cocoa for magnesium which can prevent and reduce possible PMS and cramping before or during menstruation. Recipe for chocolate and licorice balls
1 dl walnuts
1 dl pumpkin seeds
1 dl almonds
3 tablespoons of cocoa
4 teaspoons licorice powder
0.5 tsp iodized salt
6-8 fresh pitted dates
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 tablespoon neutral coconut oil
Dust with licorice powder
Sprinkle with flake salt
Options for extra boost:
1 tsp maca powder
1 tablespoon of collagen
1 tsp chia seeds
Mix walnuts, pumpkin seeds and almonds into a fine flour in a food processor. Core the dates and mix together with the rest of the ingredients until you have a smooth batter. The batter should be glossy and smooth, which makes it a perfect consistency when frozen. Roll the dough into balls or flatten the dough into small cakes, dip in licorice powder and sprinkle with flake salt. Store in the freezer for a few hours before eating them - done.
