Brownies, brownies, brownies <3 This is our recipe for our Blissful Brownie Bites which are packed with magical fats from ghee, avocado, nuts and seeds that ground you and your hormones. Imagine a brownie base topped with a soft layer of chocolate cream, crunchy cocoa nibs and flake salt. A scroll of chocolate, sweet, salty, frozen, sticky and chewy. What more could one need during their phase three? Dream!
The ultimate brownie before your period
Our brownie bites are simply perfect during phase 3 of your menstrual cycle. How is it that? They are filled with, among other things, cocoa which can increase feelings of well-being and reduce possible symptoms such as sore breasts, cramps and cravings for chocolate! They also contain high-quality fats that keep your blood sugar stable so you can stay balanced physically, emotionally and energetically. They are also sugar-, gluten- and dairy-free.
Recipe blissful brownie bites
Ingredients layer 1
2 dl walnuts
1 dl pumpkin seeds
10 fresh pitted dates
0.75 dl cocoa
2 tbsp coconut oil/ghee
1 tsp vanilla powder
0.75 tsp iodized salt
Do this:
Mix nuts and seeds into a flour. Core dates. Mix in the remaining ingredients and mix with a food spreader until you have an even and smooth batter. Press out on a baking paper in a lunch box. VOILA... Into the freezer while you make the frosting layer for the brownie base!
The frosting
1 ripe avocado
1.5 tbsp honey (depending on how sweet you want it)
2 tablespoons of cocoa
2 tbsp coconut oil
Cocoa nibs on top
Do this:
Spoon out the avocado and mix together with all the ingredients (except cocoa nibs) to a smooth batter with a hand mixer. Spread on the brownie base with a spatula. Please store in the freezer so it sets!
We love to take it out a few minutes before serving for a wonderfully gooey texture. Pretty smooth though, huh? If nothing else - it's worth it <3
